An Octopus for Show & Tell

At home on the north shore of Massachusetts, my childhood was shaped by the rhythm of the tides and a deep, relentless curiosity about the natural world. While other kids were bringing teddy bears to Kindergarten show-and-tell, I was the proud, nerdy girl hauling in a literal octopus from my dad's fishing boat to share with the class. Was it weird? Definitely. Was every kid completely captivated by something so unique, genuine, and messy? Heck yeah, they were.

I learned early on that fascinating stories come with a little vulnerability and a willingness to look just a bit closer.

That curiosity eventually led me to pack up my coastal, horseback-riding roots and head off to UMass Amherst for a pre-med Biology degree. I loved learning how the human body worked, but my creative ADHD brain needed a bigger canvas. I took my love for discovery across the globe, photographing in LA, Creative Directing in tech, and working alongside incredible non-profits in places like Kenya. Immersed in deeply human stories, expansive landscapes, and surprising connections, I realized my passion wasn’t just in observing the world, but in capturing its soul and helping others tell their own stories.

A Thousand Glittering Details

Surprising connections are my favorite thing to wonder about, especially in science and nature. Studying how indigenous cultures understood the stars and land in relation to themselves is my idea of an exciting weekend. Archaeoastronomy! The mycelial network! PHOTONS!! I love discovering the hidden ways that everything is connected.

Through creativity I get to look closer; I get to see the horizon and also the thousand intricate, glittering details that make something real. I get to make something new, show it to you and say "look at how fascinating this is!" How lucky am I?

With this new look, I'm circling back to where it all began, leaning into my roots and that deep-breath feeling of "home." This space isn't just a brand; it's a story of the salt, mud, and experiences I've collected like shells. I've spent decades looking to the sea and the stars for the stories they tell, and I'm honored to find the meaning in yours.
